I don't see how it is completely unreasonable for a planet to be conscious. I guess it can't modify itself, but I don't really know how to tell either. It doesn't seem like it is aware like other things are, but my perception is biased. My guess is that everything is a part of an absolute oneness, and everything stems from consciousness. They could be a part of something completely beyond our understanding due to our limited perception. I don't think its like a bunch of different consciousness upgrading from bacteria to dog to monkey to human, but more like One Consciousness trying all possibilities and ones that work better keep growing. How is it unreasonable to say you can't experience what a bacteria or planet can, when the absolute Consciousness can experience what you are right now?

Jordan,

What you must keep in mind is that a planet is a physical aspect portrayed as a part of a Virtual Reality. It is not 'out there' but is simulated within the minds of PMR participants. PMR participants are aspects of IUOCs as conscious beings or FWAUs selected for the purpose of experiencing the PMR VR and participating in interactions with other PMR participants. As part of the experience, they perceive themselves to be the physical bodies, or consciousnesses contained within the physical bodies portrayed as within the PMR VR. With whom would you expect an IUOC participating by experiencing being a planet to interact with? Not an impossibility, but what is the basis upon which this would work? Without such interactions, what would be the purpose?

Ted

Sorry I made a new post, I meant to reply to the one under this. :-)
Yea, I guess that makes sense. Planets don't really have much interaction. It does evolve and change, but more do to outside things acting on it. I guess it falls into the "other" category, non-consciousness (word?). So is the sole point of things that aren't conscious just to be used as scenery and stage props for us, or is there more to it?

I don't think if I was a planet it would help me learn very much, spinning around in circles constantly and whatnot.
