SS:Yes it certainly was interesting, I can tick off UFO from my 'to do before I pip it' list! I couldn't say the size of the object because it was so bright the glare made it look bigger. Because of the glare it looked completely different to the naked eye, than they looked in the pics. The pics seem to have gotten rid of the glare, it almost looks like plasma or something??!! It looked like they were flying pretty low though. Each one that flew over (perhaps one every 10-15 min) had a different course. The direction was the same, but each one was flying (estimate) 100m to the right of where the previous one flew. I saw 4 fly over and I was looking at the sky for about an hour, but as I said, each one moved on a slightly different course, so I imagine more of them flew over before and/or after I got my cuppa tea!
It was strange because I called up Bournemouth airport and asked to be directed through to air traffic control (ATC), when the operator asked what it was pertaining to I told her that I had seen some strange lights in the sky and I wanted to ask ATC if they had anything like this flying tonight. She then asked me if the lights were bright and orange?? I said yes, and she told me that she had seen about eight of these perhaps a week before, and she thought she was crazy. She checked with ATC and the airport security, and they had told her that nothing had been flying that night that fitted her description, so its not the first time this has happened?? Spooky!! She asked for the photo's and she told me she would contact me if she finds out anymore info, so if I hear anything, I'll keep ya posted =)

AJ
It was good you called up the airport to ask, especially since the woman had seen the same lights, very interesting.
Obviously this is not an (human) aircraft, and it doesn't look like any picture of UFO's I have seen before.
Can you send the unmodified pictures to my e-mail? (see my profile) With your permission I will ask around to see if someone has an idea of what it is. :)
