In the first book Tom talks about the ease of exploration at a young age. Even pointing out that as he explored his memories of them became more clear. Also that as he became proficient him and his son would explore together. Do any of you have an peculiar memories that you remember, or began to remember after you began exploring?

Here are some of mine, and these I have remembered since they happened. They did not surface when I began practicing.

I must have been in 4th or 5th grade, I always remember hating the walks between classes, or lunch. We would have to walk in a line with our hands behind our backs. I would always focus while I was walking and start to view everything from about 5 feet up and directly above my head as I walked through the hall.

Another time while in a hospital(I had to be around 5), I was woken by someone standing in my room. I remember not being able to look directly at whoever it was for some reason, but I was asked to follow them. I was walked through the hospital, but it was empty, except for some newborns in the room with the big glass window. After walking around for sometime(I cannot remember the conversation exacatly) but we came to the window with all the babies and he pointed at one of them. Next thing I know I was waking up and it was the next day. It was far different then a dream, as I remember some from that age, there was really no lapse between in happening and me laying down to sleep. Still makes me wonder what happened to this day.

At a young age I can remember lying in bed, staring up at the white ceiling, very rarely blinking my eyes. I would begin to drift off, as if I was conscious but losing my identity (best way to explain it). I don't remember what caused me to do this but I have never been able to duplicate it as an adult.

My strangest childhood memory is about not having any memories.

I usually remember my dreams when I wake up. Even if I cannot recall the details, I can remember that there was a dream, I have a sense of time passing by when I am asleep.

But one night it was different. I was about 5 -7 years old then. In the evening I just closed my eyes, then I opened them, and it was morning! I felt that I had had a good sleep, but there was no sense of time and I could not recall even a vague feeling of some dream. Nothing at all. The entire night had disappeared from my consciousness.

I haven't experienced that again. Maybe for some people it is a completely normal experience, but for me it was somehow uncomfortable, like someone has stolen a piece of my life.

I remember at the age of 4 or 5 years old lying in my bed, but I was watching myself from a distance close to the ceiling of my bedroom. I also remember at night having one male and three female type beings emerge from my closet, stay with me for a short time and then return to my closet. I couldn't make out any details of what they actually looked like or even who they were. Was I dreaming? I don't know, but it was as real as anything I've ever experienced and these instances soon stopped as I got older.

I had an experience or hallucination about distances and a strange feeling of being folded in and out of the bed I was lying on as a child, its hard to explain but I felt something from a distance in my mind pulling me, I was ill at the time and had a fever. The strange thing about it was that a few months ago when I was discussing my lucid dreams surrounding our old house to my brother He mentioned a strange experience when He was ill and it was the same experience.

It really stood out as It seemed like I was in the room but having this struggle somewhere else and I was flicking back and forth.

I also felt a presence growing up as a kid and always kept an eye on my bedroom door.

Very interesting targobaath and others.

I distinctly remember being about 4 years old, sitting on the floor in my grandfather's house and I saw a huge, bald, naked man walk out of the laundry. He must have been about 10 feet tall and had a really bright aura. He walked out, looked at me in an acknowledging way (as if he knew that I was the only one able to see him), and then just walked on by.
