If all that this reality is, is a virtual reality 'game' and the only thing that is real is consciousness, does that mean suicide can be an acceptable option? I appreciate that someone ending their own life has a knock on effect on those that love them, but what if the person has no friends or family, and they are feeling that there's no point to their existence any more, can that mean that ending it (pushing the reset button) is a viable option?

*Disclaimer*
I am in no way promoting suicide or suggesting I wish to kill myself, I am merely playing Devil's advocate and would really like the proper explanation as to why this isn't acceptable (as I suspect it isn't).

zombie feet,

suicide would be for the ones who are pretty much lost and cant see the valuable training material still laying at there feet. If you run across someone like this try to give them a nudge in the right direction. Ones who have gained a little quality and are starting to see the bigger picture would never think to throw away / give up valuable training time and experience no matter what was happening around them.

I've considered it, finding that I'd come into a situation that was bad, because I started on assumptions that were detrimental to the rest of my life, and went through a traumatic experience caused by some evil people who are experts at destroying people, and I felt trashed. I thought I was too old to purify my body. I thought of it as a well reasoned suicide.

I found out that my survival instinct was stronger than my "reasoning". Over time, I started thinking of my previous death, which I've known about for years. I died at a concentration camp. Had I not left Earth in 1940 in such a traumatised state, my mind probably would have seen things clearer, and I would have created a situation where there were a few essential additions to starting my current life.

For me, it's the trauma that I carried from death that kept me from seeing things that I'd needed this time.

I still consider my main experiences for "this life" to be over, now I'm learning to use my lessons to create happiness for me for my future.

Hi Cybercentric,
That's seems like a very healthy way of thinking about things. I kind of think along those lines although it is concerning events in this life. I am also working towards creating a happy future. It is a struggle for me now because I want to be all inclusive in my reality, I want to have the biggest view EVER, as big as anyone who has the biggest view ever shares, and be happy too. All inclusive is exclusive so far, I am working on it. For now staying away from, or trying to if I remember, that which exudes unhappiness at my psyche is the best I can do. Good for you though, very healthy in my opinion.
Love
Bette

Meditation allows you to experience happiness while you are under extreme mental or physical hardship. Once you learn how to connect to the creator through meditation you can receive relief from your suffering.

In this example, depression is a state of mind where thoughts of sadness reoccur. Mediation is a state of mind where there are not any thoughts (a state of No Mind, see Eckhart Toole's books). Therefore, if you achieve a No Mind meditative state you will not suffer from thoughts of sadness because there will be no thoughts in your mind.

Under the context of suicidal thinking, if you are able to achieve a No Mind state you will have a little heaven on earth. This may be the only experience you need to begin to see the light at the end of the tunnel. As you become hopeful because of a little bit of heaven on earth your perspective will widen to include other thoughts (happiness, hopefulness....) and less thoughts of sadness.

I'm getting past it, I left the town 3 years ago, and 2 years ago, I had completed my attempts to remedy the situation for others suffering the abuse. My focus since then has been rest, although I've been unusually vulnerable to outside negative influnces and electromagnetic energies. I hope to turn this into "research" for here and elsewhere, and for now will talk about experiences, without linking it to MBT acronyms. I was getting much closer to the finish line when I'd made the earlier post, about 6 hours after that post, I felt a healing energy, apparently from inside my body's molecules. Something very powerful is going on inside me.

I'm finding/being lead to a way to healing that is hard to explain yet. It's working, but too new to me to understand, let alone explain.

I think I understand, and some day you will have a way to explain so we can check then (how well I understand). I recognize your feeling here Cyber.
