This would seem to be my major stopping block.
I think it might have to do with me being relatively exhausted most days... but I wanna see if anyone else has any opinions.

As I'm progressing towards the point consciousness state, I tend to lose consciousness... or as some would say, "click out". Then I'd click back in 10 - 15 minutes later.

Does anyone have any tips in order to keep ones consciousness from fading as you get deeper towards the point consciousness state?
Is it really just a matter of keeping your mind active while the bodily sensory input fades?

Try with lights on or sitting up little more or trying to get point C out n about will feel self shake the lethargic effect.
those seemed to help me or they didnt help and just more tries alone helped.

This will have a lot to do with the time of the day you choose to meditate of course. But if you need a crutch, I have a very good suggestion.

Have you ever tried Yerba Mate tea? It is popular in South America. Hard to find in the states, but you can certainly order it online. This tea is very centering. It helps with mental focus but does not have the nervous, jittery effect than caffeine often produces.

YM has some modest caffeine, but it appears that there are other ingredients which act synergistically to produce this mental clairity effect. It is enough to aid in meditation and inhibit "clicking out".

Hello Ryan. This is a late reply, so maybe you have overcome your problem? It sounds like you have the same problem as me. I know you are a binaural beater, one method I use is to incorporate sounds into binaural beats which shock you back into consciousness. A nice sound is a crystal bowl chime, such as the ones found here:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kh6rmFg3U4k

There are numerous ways to rip these and add to your binaural, I'm sure you are aware of these. In short, I cut the track into individual chimes, and place them+/- 3 min apart as I reach the 4hz mark. And don't set them too loud so as they scare you out of your meditation. The chimes will mostly rouse you from sleep. Another method is to keep your forearm elevated at the elbow whilst practicing. It will drop when you reach the sleep state and rouse you back to waking consciousness.

One thing that will help is to take some huge deep breaths when you start to feel like you are getting too far in. I just take a couple of real big breaths and it helps to keep me awake, and where I need to be.
