"I like the way you think big. Right or wrong."

Is there an obvious mis-step, in the above? This bit of speculation is derived from your big picture. I was struck by the extent of experimentation implied, and the apparent endless possiblities for evolution of consciousness. (Even if improvement is not limitless, experimentation or games would seem to be endless with possiblities.) In this context, zero entropy would seem to imply some form of limitation to evolution, so logically one might ask whether zero only appears to be zero from our perspective. And if this zero entropy state is reached, what next? Does evolution, or improvement of consciousness end, or does it enter a new phase of improvement where a new zero entropy benchmark is determined?

Roland,

Tom must interpret further his comment if it means anything beyond that you think big and the iterations never cease.

Unless you think there is something more to entropy than I said above, zero entropy would be full knowledge of the realities of your existence and that of the Reality within which you find yourself. Also the capability for perfect communication. But zero entropy is based on communication between two communicators. Perfect communication can occur only between beings equally capable of zero entropy communication. Most of your communications will still be with others not capable of this and thus zero entropy is largely a theroretical concept. The process is practically endless as there will always be those who slip back. Ultimate Reality is a good enough for getting on with proposition. Information and concepts are developed by the fundamental process between individuated consciousnesses with absolute free will. There is always more to learn as there is always more to create. There is no specified end state of perfection, or otherwise, for (and within) AUM, The One Consciousness. The decision to base Ultimate Reality on the Fundamental Process and Absolute Free Will, if it was a decision as opposed to just another instance of the fundamental process and free will, creates an open ended future of continual development for AUM, The One Consciousness. The fractal nature of Ultimate Reality creates an ever more detailed development with no inherent end point. Like a rose window that never is completed but only grows richer and more detailed in developing beauty. And when you reach this point, you become very compellingly subject to the Boddhisatva's Vow, to continually return until all beings are enlightened. Never fear that you will run out of things to do, as new and exciting as you (and we) are capable of making them.

Ted, Roland,

Right on! I agree -- no end in sight, neither theoretical nor practical.

However, the point I was making with that "right or wrong" comment, wasn't because I thought there might be some error, or something wrong with Roland's statement but rather that the "no end in sight" is limited by the nature of our sight.

Ted has said just about everything in his post that can be said about evolving beyond the consciousness system we experience, but in the end we must realize that there are limitations to our knowledge. We can pass beyond those limits with what appears to be reasonable speculation, but we have to not forget that it is still just speculation and, therefore, we can never really know for sure whether or not such speculation is right or wrong.
That is the sense in which the "right or wrong" comment was made -- I see how it might have been confusing, it meant simply this: though reasonable, such speculation falls well beyond the limits of our certain knowledge.

Tom
