Hi vcazevedo and welcome to Tom's MBT discussion forums. If you stick around you will find that this beautiful talk with the great time lapse videos is still in the backwards "brain derives consciousness" rather than the more correct view that consciousness derives the brain and therefore all of our experiences. I mean gratefulness is important and so is being open to realizing the idea that the data they are talking about with the energy packets delivered to our sensory modalities as light/energy wavelengths is just data from the Larger Consciousness System (LCS) we as bits of the same LCS having experience as virtual players here receive and then interpret into what our Reality is to us, each of us. Also while they are all grateful and stuff they are pretty uncaring, unthinking, high entropy towards blind people aren't they? It was beautiful but "oh my god" only means that to that one man. Oh mythical god is more useful. Have a great day unless you have other plans and welcome to Tom's MBT discussion forums again.

Thank you for the video.
Love to you and yours,
Bette

It is a good talk, but - what is gratefulness? This is the bad side of it I usually see:

Quote:
Wow, what neat things someone (god? universe?) left for me! I'll get right to harvesting and consuming everything as fast as I can! I'll call it carpe diem, seeing the world, loving life or any other BS that sounds good.

I see this in people who are infatuated with themselves and their lifestyles. The world, including people, becomes nothing more than temporary backdrop for their blog-photos.

I haven't worked out why I get disguste with it. Something about a growing conviction, something about needing to give back what we take from nature. The giving needs to involve breaking sweat, repeating the phrase "I'm so grateful" can not be enough. It is easy to be grateful when you are doing the receiving.

To be grateful when you are giving, that is the test.
