Godmorning (from a swedish point of view)
This is my first time posting on the board. I have read “the books” and watched
many of Toms clips on Youtube and it all makes sense . After reading Tao te Ching and Eckhart Tolle
for some time, I feel like I have gotten the last piece of the puzzle with MBT.
Have a nice day.

Hi ELB and yes welcome to Tom's MBT discussion forums. I wonder if your and my point of views have any similarity other than MBT now since I am land locked too living in the middle of the Mohave Desert California. Your choice of information to take seriously is brilliant. :)
Love
Bette

Hi Bette and thanks for welcoming me to the board. I can tell you that it's not very desert-like to live in
Sweden, especially during winter... but valid information is valid everywhere, right?

Yes it is. :) I was thinking more of the landlocked quality if it. So you are on the other side of the Alps from Italy? I could Google Earth that area again, I was just "there" the other day researching Italy, but can ask you instead. Thanks. I live right where the Sierra Nevada mountain range starts in California so I'm interested in where the mountains in Italy which I think are several different Alps start too because I make weird connections like that. :)
Thank you.
Love
Bette

Sorry, I have never been to Italy and I don't now that much about it, but my family and I drove through Germany, Austria and Slovenia
one summer and the Alps were pretty impressive, I must say. There were many old castles on the mountain slopes and the cows had adapted to grazing on sloping fields.

Have a nice day!/ELB

That sounds nice, thank you. Have a nice day too unless you have other plans. ;)

I am not sure what exactly you are looking for, Bette. But the alps are pretty far away from Sweden (about 1300 miles further north by car). You could compare it to asking someone from Chicago about the Everglades. He might have the answer, but it's not exactly his neighborhood... :-)

I have passed the alps a few times on my way from Germany to either Italy or France or traveling on purpose to Switzerland. So I might be able to answer your question about the alps, if you'd want to.

Anyhow, welcome to the board, ELB! ;-)
I am glad to see more people from Europe here. Still the distances are unfortunately way too far to just meet occasionally for an exchange of ideas over a dinner or coffee.

No problem! You are not the first person to mix up Sweden an Switzerland.

Good night

I had that suspicion for a moment, but then thought "naaah". ;-)

It's actually even harder in Spanish: Sweden is called Suecia and Switzerland is Suiza. I can never remember which is which, when I need to talk about any of the two countries here in Spain.

reminds me of the time I was being set up to meet a girl from Austria at a party, but I heard "Australia"

never found that girl from Australia in spite of looking, and there was a very confused Austrian girl that was wondering why I was so clueless
