Thanks Ted. You are saying what I am trying to say, I am apparently too busy to be an effective communicator over the last few days. I am advocating a reduction of fear.

I think this reflects great initial intent, and by this you mean, if someone insults you or bumps you or even strikes you, you will not respond in kind, and this covers most of what pacifism implies.

If some punks (high entropy FWAUs) are breaking through your door, I assume you would call the cops, and you would expect them to use appropriate force, even lethal force, if required to defend your kids.

Yes fast, I am relaxed as always and feel free to make any choice you want, since you seem to be asking for my permission. :)

Scenario one has happened and I didn't strike back and I ended up fine. No idea what I would do in scenario two. Hope it never happens. :). Now someone did hurt Julia recently and I forgave the person who harmed her, the instant it happened. The guy went to jail for 40 years though. Which is what happens in this type of society.

I choose to let other people have there own experience, it may be the best thing for them and all involved. Seems like most people on a moral crusade cant see that, All they can see is a certain way it has to be. They seem to know what is best for everybody. Maybe we can all conform to your way of thinking since you seem to have all of the answers. I prefer to think its best for people to find a way that best suits them, It may be a much better way than I am going. If you don't like all of the fear, violence, and selfishness, Then don't be like that. I guess its just a lot easier to condemn what you see in yourself! than to change it. Fred searching for truth

I am glad that you choose to let people have their own experience, which is a fabulous moral crusade of it's very own. Now try and relax! Take a deep breath!

David,

Thank you for sharing with us and for your patience in this exchange. I am truly impressed. I do hope that Julia was not permanently damaged by the incident to which you referred. I am equally impressed by what you have said about her and the pictures you have shared and you seem to be truly blessed by her presence in your family. She seems to be a beautiful child in every way. May you all have no more Special High Intensity Training in your future life.

Ted

I think that perhaps they will have their own experience regardless of what you or I choose. ;)

David is not 'new'. You have just not noticed. He is just unobtrusive and unassuming. Without David's help, we would not have the Wiki that we are developing. He has been our programming guru as well as making other irreplaceable contributions. You have not noticed because no one has pressed just the right button before here on the Bulletin Board. My apologies for embarrassing you, David.
