My dad at the time was still very much alive, and I was sharing with you all that even though he was an Atheist and a Physicist, the differences between us never prevented us from having delightful, engaging, exploratory, explanatory, loving discussions with one another.
His unconditional love for me was self-evident in all his words and deeds.
You (Bette) had recently opened up to all of us about your relationship with your daddy, and I did not want you to feel bad that I was so happy about mine.
I haven't ever lost that love for him, even though he crossed in August.
