I was wondering if anyone has tested or knows of the following foods and their impact on consciousness:

salt (including sea salt) which contains an anti caking agent
spices (cumin, allspice, pepper, ground chilli powder)
white rice
potatoes (which have a very high glycemic index)
dates (which are a dried fruit)

I have a very pure diet so I can usually really tell if something is going to bother me. I occasional eat something with sea salt and it doesn't seem to bother me. I almost never eat white rice or potatoes as my metabolism is slow and I don't need the starches. I regularly eat medjool dates and they don't bother me at all. I don't eat them in excess though. None of the spices bother me.

Vinegar is great for lowering the Glycemic Index of anything by 30%.

How does that happen? What does acetic acid have to do with the glycemic index? Do you just eat less because of the vinegar? Can you supply a reference?

Here are a few articles. I haven't found the actual study yet.

This one references the study

I've been researching a lot of things for my book with making vinegar one as it is important to being able to preserve food and even make some non edible but nutritious food edible like raw jackfruit (there is no control of fire yet) by the preserving effects.

Does anybody know whether these things are ok?

Tomato paste (A common ingredient of many Greek foods)

Brown rice

Whole grain spaghetti

Pita Bread.

Lately the only sugar i eat that i am aware of is the one contained in the white wheat i mix to make my whole grain bread in my bread machine.

I have to say it's been 43 days since i quit but i do not register much difference yet. I will keep at it.

All those things are fine as long as there aren't any chemicals added. It took me 5 months before I started seeing a difference now and then. It took a few more months after that before I started to see a real change permanently.

Neotame the next aspartame? FDA doesn't require labeling of latest chemical sweetener from Monsanto
http://www.naturalnews.com/034915_neota ... eners.html

(NaturalNews) It could be lurking in the foods you eat every single day, including U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) certified organic foods, and you would never even know it. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has declared that one of Monsanto's latest creations, a synthetic sweetener chemical known as neotame, does not have to be labeled in food products, including even in organic food products.
