I want to say, this is bigger than Tom, but then I realized, duh. Yeah, what Tom wants is a big consideration. :) Seriously, she would have to "get it" I would imagine to want to talk about it, and that would be a good thing. I personally would love to see George Clooney, Jim Carrey, and John Travolta "get it" too, and perhaps Sting, and Michio Kaku, and Stephen Hawking.
Love
Bette

Edit: Sting has an article about the war on drugs on Huffington Post today, imagine that. :)
Double edit: I also forgot that it would be nice if there were more than one author with books so that Tom isn't required to be bigger than this. I keep forgetting about that part, but luckily those writing for that purpose now aren't.

I too had thought a number of times about contacting Oprah's site about Tom but in the past I did hesitate also and for the same reason mentioned in the posts. All I could think of the night I did contact them was that this book has to get out to a wider audience and fast. Oprah put so many people onto Tolle and whereas that is great and Tolle's work is wonderful - he does use pointers and most people would really have to stick to it - I know people who have read Tolle and didn't get it - they understood what he was saying but the penny didn't drop. I finally got it through Tolle but I had been on a spiritual path for a long time also I was in a lot of emotional pain at the time so I was really motivated. MBT put the icing on the top of the cake for me - there was some gaps and I had a bit of a fuzzy picture of other stuff. And the whole unfolding for me keeps on happening, it seems that the waking up is just the beginning not the end result of all of this!
Of course it would be up to Tom to say yes or no if he was contacted by Oprah or her people for an interview but if that book was in more hands and more people woke up - that would have to be the best outcome. Tom's book is just awesome - it is the best. Over the period of one year I have only managed to get two people to buy this book - I might get a couple of other people to buy it too. How many on this board has got there friends or family to buy/read MBT ? Its a slow slow process.

I thought I'd start a page but without any experience I was scratching my head a bit. It may be easy to someone who has done 'Wiki' before.

I'm scratching my head too. My experience is similar to Cole's, they seem to be a bunch of Nazis at times. However there may be good reason for these things that I'm simply not aware of. Doesn't stop me from getting ticked off about it...

MeClam had something going for a little bit. viewtopic.php?f=5&t=3799&p=10966&hilit=why+not+a+wiki#p10966

Personally experienced MMO forums go from using FAQs to wiki. I'm of the opinion that wiki is better, but there does need to be some rules such as who can edit. The overall effort is to reduce entropy. For example if you wanted to know more about sleep the page would contain what Tom said on the topic in and out of the book. Also there could be references from other source material such as Seth. Adding critics views for a broader potential understanding. So you read it all and get a good idea, but you still may have questions. You go back to the forums and ask "Do dead people need sleep? do people living in Focus 27 sleep?". If an answer can be provided then it's added to the wiki to further reduce entropy. But implementing a wiki may still be to much at this time.

Definitely, maybe he could jump in here and give us his thoughts. Personally, being a self-admitted selfish individual, I don't want him getting too big too fast, because I want to keep him for ourselves.

Agreed, and since I'm into gambling, I'd be willing to bet Oprah can "get it" with little to no effort or difficulty.

Have I told you lately that I love you?

See above. You have so many tentacles out there, bringing us stuff that's worth knowing about, that I can feel safe and secure visiting little else than FB, YT, CMN and here for my information. Unfortunately, not reading the paper or watching tv, I had no idea the president was in my town the other day, but alas, these things happen...

Point taken, Bette. If there's a book in me, it's going to start bubbling to the surface and come flowing forth out of me, most likely when I lose this job at Bose. Which, (co-)incidentally, is looking to be the same weekend I meet you and Tom.
