Just an example of New Age Reiki talk. I copied these posts from a Reiki group, where I belong for many years. There is no private information here. They are wonderful people, help each other to learn Reiki skills and send Reiki to all requests. This is not one monolithic group, people come and go, and members of this group live all around the globe.
Reiki helps and enhances always but it is challenged when there is stuck or
stagnant energy if there is not a clear passageway energy both positive and
negative cannot work through the chakras and poles and can stagnate the aura and
can lock cords tighter as though being choked by dis-ease. These cords and
binding negative energy must be removed before positive work can be accomplished
through the chakras and auras. Does anyone here do vibrational balancing with
their Reiki practice? Am I saying this incorrectly?
Have been reading everyones responses with interest. I use symbols while
sending reiki, to charge the master crystal for my reiki crystal grid, put them
in the energy field of my clients before I give them a session, clear crystals
with them, and clear the energy of a room with them. I also was taught a
technique to open and balance a chakra or relieve pain using the harmony symbol
(SHK) and of course when doing attunements. I find them extremely useful and
amazing and love using them. I am a Level II Karuna Reiki Practiitioner and we
were taught to draw them in our hands and tap them in. I think there is no end
to the things you can do with them including meditate on them.
I for one, love! working with the symbols. They felt beautiful and deeply
meaningful to me from the first, even before my Level ll attunement. In the
beginning, I drew them into objects, over house plants, stones, rooms, etc...
all for the purpose of healing and clearing, mostly.
Now, my guide is strongly encouraging me to practice visualizing them for longer
periods of time, and also, I guess what would be called 'streaming' them, rather
than 'drawing'. I see the symbols as 'living partners', carrying Reiki Intent
and energy 'outward' into the physical world from the subtle realms. Nothing
that isn't done with Reiki without! the symbols, I guess... but I have a
sneaking suspicion! that my Guide is, without saying so, actually encouraging me
to develop more control, more reliable attention and focusing skills..I think I
must be famous! among guides and Teachers for having the attention span of a
gnat! lol ..I'm very distractable, it seems. Focusing on the symbols helps me
to hold! my positive! attention for a longer time, a skill that I need for
creative manifestation projects, as well as basic self-healing.
