I am also subject to sleep paralysis and have not yet been able to conquer the fear associated with this state. I have however had many OBEs as a result of the paralysis by simply relaxing (not always easy) into the experience and by borrowing Robert Monroe's method of rolling over and out of my body. Once out of my body I have learned through trial and error that it is 'thought' that directs this experience. Unfortunately the unease I feel regarding the paralysis state inhibits me from further exploration. If anyone has any suggestions of ways for overcoming this fear, I will be forever grateful!

To quote Tom: "The exact fear is not important. The point is to become fearless"
Sleep paralysis may scare you but not worry someone else. A giant Marshmallow Man may scare someone else, yet make you drool ;-)
Fears come in many forms and are a personal thing.
