The Z-machine site didn't seem to have time stamps to determine when the info provided occurred. I found time related info on some of the graphics, the latest being 2000.

With that in mind do you have anything on the X-1 ?

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. -- Permission to prepare a conceptual design for an accelerator, X-1, has been formally requested by Sandia National Laboratories President Paul Robinson in a letter to the Department of Energy (DOE).

Z would serve as a model for the larger X-1 machine. X-1 should produce x-ray temperatures of more than 3 million degrees, which, when combined with enough x-ray energy and power, should be sufficient to implode fusion capsules of deuterium and tritium (isotopes of hydrogen) to achieve high-yield fusion.

I view this as a brute force approach.

I do not believe in OU, what it should be called is CEC for 'Cohered Energy Coefficient', which is a far more accurate way of looking at things. A conversion of one energy form to another with a 'mathematical' gain. No creation of energy, just a cleaner conversion between forms.

That news release is 11 years old (News Release - April 8, 1998). I presume they did not get the funding. The question is what is happening now, and why.
