This is sort of a quirky physics thing. A curiosity for many of us, but any physics geeks out there may see more in it than the rest of us.

What is extraordinary is that a pair of soliton vortexes are connected by a one dimensional thread that, if severed, results in the near instantaneous collapse of the vortexes.

Okay, so I am watching the National Geographic Channel this morning, a show called "Storm Worlds" the episode called "Cosmic Fire" which I had seen the end of earlier. I catch it from the beginning today and they are talking about Coronal Mass Ejections (CME) and the harm they will do to our technology some day. These two guys start talking about lightening here, and how it may be caused by the cosmic rays coming off of super novas triggering it in our clouds here. They pictured these cosmic rays as blue rods just like the rods look in ufo rodism, but not visible to our eyes. Oh, but how this relate to Falaco Solitons, the guys said that lightening here then could be considered to have a physical string, or attachment to the super nova that triggered it, just like the Falaco Solitons have. As above, so below....

Thanks for sharing that.... the Falaco Solitons are probably one of those things that shows up in a lot of places a person wouldn't expect, like fractals.
