I think all art and creativity is meaningless, unless is it NPMR sourced.
This is akin to saying "I won't eat anything that's ever lived."
Must everyone be in agreement for something to be true art? Either art is in the "eye of the beholder" or we're stuck endlessly defending our prejudices and judging others'.
A good exercise is to look at something - maybe a silly popvideo - and not judge. I think it's beneficial to regard every utterance from people as part of an exercise to grow, for both parts. Even provocations and insults.
Maybe a better question is, what can be learned?
Let me rephrase that
The data suggests to me that there are three types of art
The lowest form of so called art is shock art, the race to the bottom to explore every available void of ugliness, hate and depravity, and is sourced at the r-complex level
The second form of so called art is sourced in mind, the left hemisphere, and comes from the conscious level as craft
The third level of art comes from a source beyond mind, through the right hemisphere, and creating it is much more a process of getting out of the way, letting it happen, like channelling or automatic writing
And so true art is a heartbreaking glimpse of the bigger picture that we are are separated from, something much deeper than learning
