What a loving, kind, patient, caring, gentle man that Bob Monroe must have been. I can only imagine the energy he gave off. What must it have been like, to be near him, I wonder? Look at what incredible books have been produced, just from people who were close to him at any point in time! What amazing work has been generated, that he sparked? Where would this world be right now, had it not been for that amazing man? I shudder to think...
Why was he in such a godforsaken hurry to go away and leave us all, I wonder? Boredom?
I second all you say about Bob Monroe, Lynda. As to your question why did he leave us when he did - it seems he actually stayed longer than he really wanted to. As a TMI sustaining member back in the 80s/90s, I received all their quarterly newsletters (and the free quarterly tapes, too!), and Bob often wrote the lead articles. Much insight is also in Ronald Russell's biography. RAM badly missed his wife Nancy after she passed away, despite meeting her often in F27, and worried she may progress away from him before he joined her. In one particularly revealing newsletter piece, he asked himself the question - "Why do I stay here?", and answered it himself - "The beauty of Earth life" - and went on to describe Earth's many natural beauties.
The hemi-sync tapes/CDs voiced by Bob himself are still the best, in my opinion - the essence of the man flows through it.
