Alifo,
Most of the worlds successful religions have threads of truth running through them. They also have threads of irrelevant dogma and ritual running through them. Often they were started by, or coalesced around the teachings of, persons with some genuine spiritual quality and understanding. However, once they become "organized" and the founding leaders of spiritual quality are gone (spiritual quality is not intellectual and cannot be transferred from one person to another), they tend to quickly mutate to find power and influence in appealing (pandering) to the masses of people who have much more fear than they have spiritual understanding. To generalize this concept: most large organizations evolve in this way whether they are selling a point of view, salvation, or automobiles because, in this PMR elementary school, fear dominates the human psyche. Fear (ego, emotional needs, pride, wants, desires, beliefs, hopes, expectations, etc.) is the handle by which men are most easily manipulated. PMR power and sometimes wealth accrues to those (organizations or individuals) who can manipulate or control large numbers of people. An attractive power to which most organizations eventually gravitate (evolve) even if they were not initially formed (as most are) to exploit the naïve children, critters, and stuff that inhabits this PMR kindergarten.
It is just the way things are with both organizations and individuals - 1) Most everyone (individual and organization) tries to control/manipulate whatever they can to assure that things will work out to their personal advantage. 2) Most everyone's life (individual and organizational), i.e., their intent and choice, is dominated and driven by their personal fear. Those two facts, more than any other, create the reality we live in.
