I wanted to ask you Tom or if some other can respond about the subject of time.
From what I understand Robert Monroe spent as much time as Tom exploring the larger reality (30 years) and
he said that there was a place (in the larger reality) where time didn´t exist. Robert Bruce also has mentioned a concept of the "Eternal NOW" where all time exist as one

MBT says that time exist everywhere but can move in different rates (delta-t) depending on the vr.
How can 30 years of research come to such different conclusions?

/Karl

Karl,

The timeless space has been known by metaphysicians (mystics) journeying into their minds from before recorded time. This is the Void which is the origin of everything. There are many metaphors for it but it appears to most everyone as basically having the same characteristics. It is commonly perceived as timeless. There would be nothing to perceive there, but still there is some perception provided. Shining is a common descriptive metaphor. It also exists as something outside of reality as the precursor to Consciousness Space. I believe that this is also included in Tom's TOE as the point of origin or the reality field before the reality cells started to interact. As timeless, it exists for a long and unknown time nor does it cease to exist.

... to add to what Ted posted ... Tom mentions in the book: "time is a measurement of change". The void shows "no change".

Ok, perhaps I havent understood what Monroe meant exactly by his definition of time.

But after reading the following on the "Lost" thread I got a little confused.

"The idea that time didn't exist there also aligns with Monroe's ideas but is the only conflict with MBT that I can see"

I was just thinking about the "timelessness" aspect we are talking about here, now. :)

When one can receive complete thought packets (rotes) instantaneously, or think themselves directly to some other "place" (or can chose to fly I think) instantaneously "time" isn't an issue. But as I understand it time is set to a faster or slower Delta-t depending on how far into, how deeply the VR is embedded fractally "away" from the One. I don't know how there could be a slower plane than this seemingly physical one, but if there is time goes even slower in that one than time in this one. That's what I think.
Love
Bette
