Harvard class of '77 though I didn't get my degree until 1980, and then went for an MBA...
Here's my quibble: This is not the best of all posible worlds! MBT Awakening p.201: "Isn't it neat how the imperative of the Fundamental Process creates evolutionary pressure that delivers whatever is most profitable to the evolving organism?"
Biological systems are not optimal systems. Biological systems just have to be good enough... Human knees, The appendix, and the many deficiencies in the way Homo Sapiens reason (Mr Campbell gives a great exposition of some of these!) are datum my Theory of Everything will have to explain.
I think you took "most profitable" to mean best of all possible "world" when it is the profitability of the learning lab that the Fundemental Process "needs" to be there to keep delivering the container for Consciousness to use long enough for any adaptations to occur which support the continuation of the container. Humans with the large Decision Space just are VERY useful in creating data to process into more useful data on how to BE Love. Biological systems just have to adapt, right?
