Ok, perhaps I´m a little too nitpicky over details then, I just thought that every angle had to be factored in but perhaps it does not work this way.

I got lucid this morning, and the first thing I tried was checking this planet out. I focused my mind and my vision changed gradually, I saw Earth from space. I focused on seeing Gliese 581g, and then my vision changed again, after a few seconds I saw a planet.. and it was Earth.. a little disappointing, but I will try again when the opportunity comes again!

I probably need to be more specific with my intent, and most importantly, remember to stabilize the experience with increasing the clarity by commands as the first thing to do, when lucid.

Does earth have an aura?

i meditated and focused on the question to receive specific visual data into my awareness concerning biological/chemical life on Gliese 581g. first there were something uninpretable. (maybe there are uninpretable intelligent life there?) then there were something I interpreted as waving underwater grass. :D yes, there's life!

SS, you wondered whether it looks exactly like earth?

If there is life there, it sounds like it would have to exist in the "twilight zone"... so you know it is going to be weird. ;)

I think freeing ourselves from our mental projections (conscious or unconscious) of what a planet orbiting a star tidally locked around a Red Dwarf would look like is one of the bigger challenges here. I've read the article and seen the artist's impressions and already have preconceived ideas about this place. One would have to know one's data streams very well to be able to separate any objective available visual data from one's own projections.

A nice little thing that made me smile about this planet was the equatorial 'halo' of life that extends around it. The late Terrence McKenna describes a planet he was once shown within a Peyote-assisted OOBE. He describes a nearby Earth-like planet with an equatorial band of land, surrounded by two hemispheres of water. He received some running narrative about the purpose of this planet and some of its characteristics - towards the end of his book 'True Hallucinations' (available on Youtube as an Audio Book).

FWIW, william buhlman was told by the shamans in south america that the giant pictures on the ground of animals, etc., that we view with satellites in space were created to test ayahuasca initiates. the shaman would give the drug to the initiate and tell him to fly above the land and tell them what they saw. if they saw the 'giant ant' then they were deemed worthy of the shaman title.

This is one of the best tidbits ever, I use it ALL THE TIME, and it makes people stop and go, hmm. Sometimes I even remember who said it. You don't happen to have the Coast to Coast YouTube interview he did with I think George Noorey where he reported this, do you?

Am I only rendered if someone (including myself) is aware of my body? (i.e., Does my body exist when I am alone at home dreaming? And I do not have bedbugs to observe me either, although I can't rule out stray microbes.)

In my reading about quantum physics, I believe I read that an atom only exists if some consciousness collapses its probability wave by observing it. So does this mean my atoms don't exist unless something is looking at me? (Stop, don't look away--oh no, I'm melting!)

You always exist as what your mind as an IUOC is aware of. It participates as you as you experience yourself here in this PMR experience packet. Remember, Virtual Reality. So you are a sub set of yourself as an IUOC specifically set up to be the you that you experience (that is self aware) and that experiences the PMR VR, i. e. the FWAU that we have come to speak of here on this board. You also exist as the experience of yourself within the NPMR VR which is another FWAU. These two awarenesses are not normally linked, aware of each other or share any awareness but are compartmentalized. Tom has described being able to switch between and share these two consciousnesses on a proportional basis (50/50, 90/10 or as he finds of value). It is not that unusual for a PMR FWAU to be able to independently experience NPMR through the PMR filter of its PMR FWAU, to drop PMR awareness and go OOB which can be PMR somewhere or other than local to its body or NPMR. This is your real existence. Don't worry about the back of your head. It will be there when you need it again.
