Hello Ryan. This is a late reply, so maybe you have overcome your problem? It sounds like you have the same problem as me. I know you are a binaural beater, one method I use is to incorporate sounds into binaural beats which shock you back into consciousness. A nice sound is a crystal bowl chime, such as the ones found here:

In short, I cut the track into individual chimes, and place them+/- 3 min apart as I reach the 4hz mark. And don't set them too loud so as they scare you out of your meditation. The chimes will mostly rouse you from sleep. Another method is to keep your forearm elevated at the elbow whilst practicing. It will drop when you reach the sleep state and rouse you back to waking consciousness.
