@pgtrue: "The most important decision we make is whether we believe we live in a friendly or hostile universe." - Albert Einstein
Yes, I absolutely agree with this statement.
But how can you really be sure if "the universe" is friendly or it only appears to be that way?
here is something about this:
Propaganda, Parables, and Perception Pt. 05 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nIkTIOzZovs#t=3m18s
This is why it is important to "Live gracefully with uncertainty". I can never be SURE about the universe. I cannot even be sure about ANY individual that I meet. But the world (and people) will pretty much appear to you as you expect them to appear. your perceptions and beliefs will determine the outcome of all interactions, and you will probably encounter all of your fears. you will see the negativity all around you leading you to make choices based on fear. Fear leads to separation, isolation, distrust, suspicion, anger, hate, war and suffering. The walls that we erect "for our own protection" can end up looking like prison walls, trapping us inside.
If you are spreading fear, chances are, you are being controlled and manipulated by fear (and therefore working FOR the negative forces that you SAY you oppose). Fear becomes a type of "handle" that can be used to control us.
I get the feeling that even though you quoted MBT, the book (from page 820?) that you still have not read the book. And if you have read it, you did not fully absorb the concepts within it
The system, as it exists, works pretty much the way it was intended. And every "fork in the road" you encounter, and every choice you make is essentially a choice between LOVE and FEAR.
Tom says, in his book, that there are NO neutral parties, everyone is involved and active in the virtual reality simulation "game" of consciousness evolution.
There are only 2 choices, and 2 paths to take, Growth or decay, entropy reduction or increase. LOVE or FEAR. Ask yourself one question. Are you working towards increasing, or reducing, your individual entropy? (as well as the overall entropy of the system)
