I found the part about the energy of the cancer amazing.
If someone has a history of a disease in their family and they know about it I understand just by thinking you may get it brings disease into the body. The thought itself is the spark and the underlying cause.

Also as I wrote in viewtopic.php?f=14&t=2831 I asked about being with family members now and in a past life. This NDE seems to confirm this with her brother. Tom's answer was to the contray. I may be missing the interpretation ?

Tom's reply to you was "The answer to your first question is generally "no". " The emphasis being on generally. I don't think we always are reincarnated with the same people. That would put a tremendous limitation on our opportunities for growth and experience. We are here in PMR seeking after a wide variety of interaction to fuel our growth. But if you look into the thread I linked to you, the idea that we are bonded in a way at the oversoul level with those whom we shared close relationships IS true and we often do come back to work out issues or just to enjoy the experience together again. The way the question was phrased in your original question "Is everyone's family in this life in your 'soul group' for life after life in the physical ?" sounds like you mean is EVERYONE'S family in this situation all the time, life after life to which Tom answered generally no. I think if you looked outside of your immediate family to all of your current friends, acquantainces, schoolmates, coworkers, exes, and even enemies, the probability of one being someone from the past increases. It seems like we actually might have a higher probabitity of meeting an old enemy than a loved one again because there is something that needs to be worked out between us. I believe Edgar Cayce said that's why we should seek to solve it now in this life because if not, we will have to do it later.
