Hi i was just wondering whether IUOC's that choose to lower their entropy via the negative (power/force/control) path and manage to do so successfully are able to maintain that level of reduced entropy (and the increased power/ability that may go with it) into their next experience packet. Or would the fact that they have missed the point and led a self serving existence mean that they are set straight and given another opportunity to grow in the correct way that is most profitable to the system as a whole (i.e love)? If this were the case would they be stripped of any increased psychic power that may have been previously gained/experienced?

I also wondered if the existence and balance of good and evil as part of our free will experience within OS was exclusively necessary for our growth as part of the one consciousness at our beginners level within OS, or whether that balance (ying/yang) is a feature throughout the whole system including all the other realms and those outside of OS aswel.

As a positive person i try and maintain a healthy and uplifting outlook but sometimes feel that due to the undeniable existence of evil aswel as the good in the world i am sometimes polluted with mental images and unpleasant thoughts that are not in line with my own intent or character. I act accordingly as though i am stumbling across some data in the sea of information that is not of any use to me and attempt to focus on something more fittting and desirable. It is not always an easy task however. I see this possibility for evil as a necessity in order for us to achieve optimum growth through choice but wondering if it will always be a feature of evolutionary growth experience at every level of quality development.

Thanks in advance.

Sam

All spiritual progress (good or bad) carries forward into your future experience packets. There might be some exceptions but that is the general idea as I understand it.

As for the question in the last paragraph: Making "good" or "evil" choices is all relative (although I think evil is a bit string of a word). A good choice at one "level" of spiritual QoC development may be a bad choice at another level of QoC. The possibility to make the wrong choice exists at all levels as long as you have free will - and free will is a necessary component of consciousness and evolution.

The evil you see in the world can also be looked at as others just doing the best that they can with what they have to work with.

dilate,

I will not claim that I understand the negative or control path. I am pretty sure that you are not understanding it fully as you no doubt know. The only thing that I could tell you for sure is that a lowering of entropy remains with you until you make further changes which might lower or raise entropy. It is truly something which we cannot access here in terms of 'reading' it. Since the PMR rule set makes us start over as infants and develop here and now without memory of those past understandings, when we start to improve and understand and behave better and think 'well gee, I'm sure lowering my entropy', we cannot in fact tell. Before we make any net gain for this pass through PMR, we must first reach the highest quality that we had cumulatively accomplished in the past. Only when we reach that previous point is there actual further improvement as we continue to interact on a further improved basis. It is something we must pass through which is no doubt a little depressing to the young who think they are doing so well. Well they are gaining rapidly. It is just the simple truth that you must surpass your previous accomplishments before you start really making further gains. And what you do accomplish does carry through, presuming you don't sabotage yourself in a future backsliding and raising of your entropy.

The control side seems to me to be more a matter of entropy reduction by controlling yourself as opposed to controlling others. Controlling others means you must be limiting the free will of those others. Enhancing the free will of others in your interactions seems to be the 'good' interaction. So controlling others would seem to clearly be an entropy raiser.

Ted

Most likely, they would be able to maintain the same level of entropy, though in the long term it's a very unstable thing. A being can reduce its entropy by learning to focus its thoughts and intent, and instead of eliminating fear and ego, it can attempt to isolate it. However, there are limits to this and it is a path towards self-destruction. I don't know what happens with this category of people in the transition period, but I guess it's very different, as in case by case basis.

It exists because consciousness requires free will. Free will includes the choice to do both good and bad. Negativity and positivity exists in various degrees throughout the countless of reality frames. Balance (and ying-yang) might be the wrong word, it gives the impression that some negativity is necessary for a "healthy system", it's not. Only the possibility of negativity is necessary.

Yes, there is much "pollution".. In general; much is unintended noise and some is intended manipulation. Deal with it with the best of your ability, that's the best we can do. To your last question, there are or at least should be levels of development where the participation to negativity is non-existent, but this is irrelevant to us, here in the present moment where we have to deal with things as they are.

I found this comment very interesting and pondered on it for quite some time. It would appear to me that a certain degree of negative experience is almost written into our physical experience at this level, examples being the ageing process, illnesses and the death of loved ones. I feel that there exists a balance of good and bad experience here and that we are encouraged to improve our quality and transcend it into higher levels despite the obstacles that exist here. I think it is for this reason that negative influences both spiritual and physical exist to distract us from the path of growth, in the same way that there are guides to encourage us. I think if this balance was not a feature then there would be no need for anything negative to attempt to manipulate others to the negative side, by its own definition. This is however a logical attempt at understanding this which i appreciate is often a tail chasing experience.

Any thoughts would be much appreciated.
Cheers

dilate,

In the bigger picture of MBT, there are no absolute positive or negative experiences (in the little-picture, PMR senses of those terms), only experiences that lead either to growth (lowering of entropy), or non-growth (stasis, or entropy-raising). Any experience here in PMR can lead to either of those outcomes, depending on the reaction/choices of the experiencer. Our individual guidance may nudge us towards a reaction/choice which could lead to growth, rather than the opposite, but the choice is still ours to make.
