one group of spouses has a toe in NPMR through mediumship, and I have mentioned that this can be strengthened through Spiritualism, which is the pseudo-religion established around mediumship. They do actual free readings and healing as part of the church or temple services. Spiritualist Churches tend to have more of a religious feeling than Spiritualist Temples. Lilydale, NY, is the Vatican of Spiritualism, and is a great place to strengthen an openness to authentic mediumship. I do not recommend mediums who operate commercially outside of spiritualism or the Lilydale Assembly licence system.

An effective response here is to emphasize the PMR normalcy of the lineage, the dropping in and not dropping out aspect, "spirituality for eggheads" aspect, that this "love" belief will have direct benefits to the spouse as the principle beneficiary of other-centered Intent, but as well, the spouse should experience a distinct change in your quality of interaction as you reach for better intent within your perceived decision space, especially during moments of stress and conflict with said spouse. Pick your battles, and then fight them differently.
I try to soften things by referring to these activities as my "philosophy club" and listening to Binaural Beats as "taking a nap", which often turns out to be true. ; - )
