Just an example of New Age Reiki talk. I copied these posts from a Reiki group, where I belong for many years. There is no private information here. They are wonderful people, help each other to learn Reiki skills and send Reiki to all requests. This is not one monolithic group, people come and go, and members of this group live all around the globe.

that isn't done with Reiki without! the symbols, I guess... but I have a
sneaking suspicion! that my Guide is, without saying so, actually encouraging me
to develop more control, more reliable attention and focusing skills..I think I
must be famous! among guides and Teachers for having the attention span of a
gnat! lol ..I'm very distractable, it seems. Focusing on the symbols helps me
to hold! my positive! attention for a longer time, a skill that I need for
creative manifestation projects, as well as basic self-healing.
