Wasn't really sure what to title this thread...

It happens that one will be recreationally plodding through some of the older occult, scientific or seemingly unrelated literature and come across "stuff of interest".

This thread is for making group note of that stuff, and of course the link to it (assumes it's available).

Here this morning, looking up something quite a bit different, I came across this:

There is actually a lot in that doc. It's writer seems pretty well read, and just following the way he thinks can be useful. Some of the content is fun too, and exploration gets you into one of those "Way leading to way" treasure-seeking scenarios... like one of those Sci-Fi MMORGP in which we, after all, appear to actually incarnate.

What could sound more like fun that "The Lesser Banishing Ritual of The Pentagram" ....? ...and yet, it is solid stuff ... like TMI's "REBal on Steroids, and more.

Have you never heard of spirit canoes before? That is the normal way for a shaman to take others along with him/her on OOBE excursions to seek game or whatever. Can't find good links on Google because you just come up with people wanting to sell you canoes and kayaks. There still are shaman, even in cities and the 'modern' world. I was tempted that way at one time. There have been shaman ever since we lived as hunter gatherers.

What the LBRP sounds like, as well as much thinking of magic, is individuals trying to work their way back, possibly entirely unconsciously, to the reality of the shaman in which the world was magical not very far below the surface at all and one knew that one was connected with all of reality as nature as opposed to being isolated within ticki tacki houses with white picket fences and pink plastic flamingos and a Toyota in the drive way. Humanity within PMR has lived for most of its existence, based upon time duration, in small hunter/gatherer groups living very close to nature. It is difficult to say that we were intended to live cheek by jowl within megalopolises and travel around in metal boxes.

he is right about the shaman. One will come to you if and when you are ready. It can take many forms. keep your eyes open and trust your intuition. Stop playing role playing games and ground yourself. Get your head in your physical world and your spirit body mind. You need to be conversing with mother nature at all times. Generally, traditionally at least, 'canes at all seldom hit SW Florida. Strong ones are mighty rare. It does happen.

In the last century there were decades and decades in between notable storms.

OTOH, this century there've been 2 or 3 I believe.

yes, just west of 75 - we hear the traffic at night. My previous point about life east of the 75, that perhaps you are trying to resolve, was to explain that being in Florida as a snowbird or resident in a gated community, does not translate into being a 1%r...

this is not directed at you, but there is a broader issue...part of the occupy faith system is the belief that anyone who argues for markets and jobs and productivity, must be one of those thieving 1%rs, hence the effort here devoted to "outing" me as the enemy in this class war, a war which has been permitted to enter these sanctuary walls, so that my political and economic views may be dismissed. Where I live and how I live has become part of that framing process.

This is not a discussion I want or seek, but rather, it is my view that MBTOE is for everyone, and that the 1% should not be portrayed as the enemy, which I believe represents a view which directly contradicts Tom's guidance. This is not a trivial matter, as it is my view that the 1% will be a key participant in the meme. I am as well comfortable with the fact that Tom chooses to maintain a profitable level of uncertainty in this regard, and the ongoing debate between both points of view serves a purpose.
