Cant think of a better heading,so has anyone read Jeffrey Raff Ph.d.,What intersted me was his take on the concept of god as still evolving, and through our spiritual work with our spirit ally,we are actually helping god to grow .Sounds very simular to Tom's concept of AUM.Any thoughts...Clive

Clive,

Please, when someone asks for specific links, consider it as a reminder that that is the preferred way to post references and questions here. If you want responses, make it easier by being more clear, providing links rather than asking for us to search. Consider us as lazy. You will get more responses that way. Better you look up one time and post exactly what you mean than for every person who responds to look it up for you and guess what you mean. That means a lot more work for anyone who might respond, which probably won't get done, and a lot more clarity as to what you ask, if you do it the suggested way. For people new to the board, I would do the work for them with explanations to show them how it is done and questions to get them to clarify their meanings. You are a power poster.

Ted

Wow, the shrink rap radio site is a goldmine, there are lots of interesting interviews on there…thanks!

I’ve listened to the interview with Jeff Raff, what he describes does fit nicely with the MBT model, just with more of a feel good fluffy side to it. He characterizes the relationship with his ally as a sort of love relationship, where he and the ally both grow spiritually. I haven’t read his books, but in the interview he seemed to be saying that anyone can build such a relationship (to me what he was describing was actually reminiscent of Christians who view God/Jesus as their close personal friend). I don’t know, but I think that individuals who can build this kind of relationship with NPMR entities are the exception rather than the rule, probably for the same reason that most people have trouble building this kind of relationship with PMR entities.

As I see it, it is the people that we meet here in PMR that we really need to focus on.

The learning opportunities are presented every time we interact with our environment, and all the people (and critters) in it, whether you are in PMR, or NPMR
