Since you know how to do remote viewing, why not take the 1 million dollar randi challenge and shut that guy up for good? I know you said that the proof has to be personal since its subjective but I'm pretty sure something like remote viewing could be objectively confirmed.

Yes it could. However the observers, cannot see the perspective of those that have lived in many other planes of existance. Unless they have seen them for themselves. It will never make sense to anyone who is not enlightened. It is a huge problem.

I don't really see why he is saying people wouldn't believe it due to cultural beliefs. From what I remember, no one has ever won the Randi challenge. If he were the 1st person to win, even if it were a "publicity stunt", it would make the headlines and people would notice.

community,

The distinct impression that I get from discussions and occurrences elsewhere related to the 'Randi challenge' is that it would be impossible to ever satisfy his concept of proof. It appears that there is an element of changing the requirement for proof so that it is always beyond the potential for accomplishment. The goal posts get moved. Combine this with the Psi Uncertainty Principle, and this becomes a lost cause. Pretty much a certainty of failure in terms of satisfying the Randi challenge. Perhaps I am wrong, but this is my clear impression.

In addition to the other good points (and to restate):

1. The challenge is known to be unreasonable in terms of the requirements to succeed. Randi should just hand over $1 mill to PEAR or to the members of the Stargate Project. They have already accomplished enough evidence.

2. The long-term growth of the system trumps and can override anything it needs to. After all, everything is a result of it. It might be that such definitive proof of PSI to the masses would be detrimental to the long term growth of the system. So, the system may intervene so that it never quite works out for the $1 mill challenge.

3. Randi himself had a classic OBE and denied it as false because the location of his cat and the color of his bed cover did not match that of PMR. Not even a nudge by the system was able to shake him free of his current beliefs in an objective reality. Randi's feet are currently buried deep in belief.

4. The intent of all of the people (mostly skeptics ... a.k.a. believers) plays a role in the outcome. One person surrounded by 40 (or however many) people with a belief (intent) that PSI is bunk has a strong potential to fumble the process.

5. The few people that do have the understanding and "power" to rock Randi's world, likely know better and just let things unfold more naturally, with time. Imagine trying to explain calculus to a group of kindergarteners - not much point. It would only muck up the process. They will get there in their own time and in a way that is more beneficial.

Randi and the like are not forgotten by the system. They will continue to be nudged along as appropriate in attempt to open their eyes to a larger reality. In the meantime, working on ourselves and increasing our own personal understanding (working to let go of fear, belief, and ego) will have a much greater effect on the whole (and on Randi) than any objective proof or $1 mill challenge ever will.

Perhaps Randi, after passing on, will requiring rescuing from his beliefs by somebody doing retrievals at The Monroe Institute. What an opportunity that would be!

Actually, The 'Amazing' Randi has been widely debunked himself ....

Call it a calculated career move to draw attention to himself.

While I don't know much about him or how biased he is, I have seen several of his clips on youtube. It looks like a TV show because there's an audience. And his demands are not unreasonable. For example one person claims to be able to use a dowsing rod to find zinc....so they cover up the mineral and asks him to find it and he couldn't. The legal contract is that he has to pay $1 million. If he were to refuse to pay, I'm sure that would create even more publicity for the winner.

I don't know enough about OBEs, but why would the cat in the OBE be inside the house but in physical reality it was outside the house, or there be different color bed covers?

Tom has talked about how it would be detrimental to the overall system if people were convinced of "paranormal" activities. He has used the phrase "plausible deniability" a lot.

community,

Unless you are referring to the post immediately above, it would be helpful if you explained references by referring to posts, especially when adding to an old thread. I did find your reference to a cat and the bed cover color in Justin's post above eventually.

It did not say that the cat was not in the house but that it was not exactly where he knew it to be and the color of the bed cover was wrong. Actually this is not abnormal for people reporting OOBE activity. There is an element of time and an element of details that can vary. It is not an objective reality. There is nothing which says that Randi was looking at his house real time and seeing the cat where he was sure the cat was. Tom has also described how some details are not included in the data bases and just determined from probability at the time. That readily accounts for the cats location and the bed cover color. Cats are after all mobile. Also in a Virtual Reality, this is a matter of another subjective interpretation of the data stream in an abnormal or special stream as opposed to the 'official' PMR data stream. If those were the only discrepancies, he should have been satisfied but was only prepared to be dissatisfied.

I got my information from the video of Randi describing his OBE. At about the 5:45 mark he says the cat was actually outside the house. It's possible he is lying, but that's his version of the story.
