Yes consciousness is an information system fundamentally, according to the theory. The human avatar is computed. It's not that you're an unfeeling computer, but that your consciousness encompasses your human-level mind/feelings/memories and more than that. Tom would probably say the IUOC has emotion...

Yes and this is the big one, if you have no memory of past lives and you have no knowledge of how to progress then your fwau is stuck. Progress isn't solely reliant on past-life memories or accumulated knowledge. It's not important that you remember your human knowledge. What's being cultivated and...

Who knows, it's just another VR/data stream that these NDE/OBE people are getting. Boredom isn't fundamental to you, it's just relative to the VR you're in. In another VR, you might not have the capacity for boredom. As an information system, maybe you can get re-purposed after death and are no long...

"So even if the LCS has good intentions in this--providing comfort, allowing people to move on, giving them a sense that death is not a bad things, etc.--still it is, in a sense, propagating disinformation." According to the theory, I guess, it'd be more like the human has a fundamentally...

I never really cared about the experiments. The experiments just help to establish acceptance of a theory, a model to left-brained people. MBT isn't bringing you direct truth of existence and reality, it's a model of it, a pointer to it. It doesn't matter to much for me if we can bring evidence that...

You defined yourself as a left brained dominant person. A left brain person engages with patterns of operating that make them left brained. Raising awareness takes noticing the patterns of operating. Being aware of the patterns means not getting lost in them(being able to free yourself through separ...

Hello, My perspective: On the topic of integrating the right brain, it takes reconnecting with your emotions and deep inner sense of being. The problem is, when the intellect/left brain/ego/personality has run dominant too long, it creates a strong structure, a habit of patterns/behaviors/thoughts t...

If the analogy made you uncomfortable - then it did its job because the point of the harsh language is to reflect the harsh treatment of our environment. The point of personifying mother nature is to bring about sensitivity by creating a link between how we feel about treating other people like that...

Expressions also spill out onto a page beyond the intellectual interpretation of theory Who said they don't? In fact expression, whether interpreted incorrectly or actually given from one's ego can both be facilitated in an environment like this. I outlined before why certain factors can make the e...

large =/= physically large. My computer storage is also large in one sense but it's also physically tiny. So I guess I didn't use the same metric of physicalness when interpreting largeness. The overall system can be finite but what is actually the potential to expand and end up, "larger"?

Expressions initiate the unfavororable opinions of this forum Yes but in talking about expressions, I was giving context for our platform for communication based on a fresh example where Mrszam initially interprets defensiveness and some hostility where it is not necessarily there. The point was th...

JDJR: Is it unreasonable to conclude that thus far this thread has "lived up to" the reputation of this forum?: Ego, fear and belief. One person gives a take and one person responds with a string of ad-hominems that don't actually address points made. It's not unreasonable to conclude, bu...

VB: You brought up autism in your post, here I’ll quote it for you. I brought it up in the sense of the left-brained engagement I was talking about with concepts over interpersonal connections which can be seen in people with high-functioning autism. That context didn't facilitate comments like, &q...

It's not a problem, Marszm. Some topics and discussions branch out into other areas, you're good. Anything brought up here is more of a longer standing problem than anything caused by you.

i wish everybody on here the very very best.
We to you too :)
