Special appearance by "The One" aka Pamela Knight.

Also known as Mrs. Tom Campbell for those visitors here who are not aware that Pamela as Dr. Pamela Knight is in the position of those professional women in America who retain their personal names for professional reasons instead of being known by their husband's name as his wife. Doctor as in Ph. D., not MD. While I have never discussed this with Tom nor heard anything about it indirectly, the custom of wives taking their husband's surname is likely to be reduced in the future as a current social trend and also in terms of MBT as a wife no longer being considered as the property of her husband. And as there are more women in the work place with a career, it makes sense for them to maintain their identity by which they are know in that career for continuity. For others, it is likely to be a matter of simple personal preference.

I've got a question which someone here may be able to answer.
I might have missed something ...

At around 35 minutes into this Unity North Atlanta Panel Discussion - and again a bit later - they refer to a movie - and I'd like to know more about that.
As in: what is it called and where or through which ways could I watch it?
What is it about?

In case anyone knows - please clarify shortly as best you can. ;)

Cheers!

I believe the crowd had just screened the documentary The Path. http://thepathseries.com/

The two people on the right of the panel were the directors, I believe. The two people on the far left were the ministers of the Unity Church where the event was held.

Thank you S S!

I'm on a mobile and therefore quite restricted bandwidth ATM.

... and not sure whether I could save it to HD to watch it later and in full.

Maybe when I'm home ...

Cheers

From what I've seen of it - it is a pretty general metaphysical description of things. It is nothing like the in depth theory of MBT.

Why does Tom present himself in Churches considering he is against beliefs?

I think that if you look Dina, those are not traditional churches but more 'new age' and open minded type churches generally. Tom goes to where he is invited to do a presentation and it looks like there will be a significant and interested audience, a I understand it. I am just looking at this from a distance as I am not involved in this process of selection of venue and production or choice of subject for the presentation which varies from presentation to presentation and often as I understand, with input from the organization acting as host.

Both an Excellent question by Dinah and Excellent follow up post by Ted,

Yes there is A wide ranging and variety of churches and religious groups out there in terms of Rigid belief based systems and also open-mindedness . I am sure that Tom considers these factors quite intensively before giving his "talks" at any specific church or church group , if you will ...

I also think one side message he likes to get out is how MBT can be looked upon in a "positive light", in terms of many times offering the same ideals and purpose we strive for here in PMR as the churches' agendas for similar moral goals... that he speaks at.. Perhaps to clear up any misconceptions that this is something that cannot be done or that it is very hard to reconcile.. But on the contrary that you can find these parallels often quite 'readily" between these churches philosophy and the MBT philosophy.. It is not hard to do if you look at the main general concepts of MBT.. to make "those work" or realize they lead to the same common understanding as the church's main creeds.. or "ethics"...

I think Tom enjoys presenting that side of it, really.

Thank you Brian, and excellent transcription Linda.

Faith could also be interpreted as being positive about the future, not just having beliefs.
It is similar to the ambiguous trusting.

I loved this part of the transcription:

-That's why I don't say, “Here's what you should do. Listen to me.” I say, “Here are the basic fundamentals of reality. Now go out and apply them, grow, do what you can with them. Always try to get rid of your ego and fear and become Love.”
