I'm trying, but I'm not quite buying yet that AI consciousness isn't fundamentally artificial and not in the same realm as the consciousness of natural beings, from worms to humans.

And I ESPECIALLY don't buy the idea that if the AI body (hardware and software) were destroyed, that the AI consciousness would still exist in NPMR! P. 511

If I understand it right, IUOCs in NPMR will "play" the AI avatars.

Please provide an explanation, and any supporting evidence, as to why or how you have reached your conclusion. Thanks.

A big picture TOEian armchair scientist doesn’t “buy” anything.

Rather, we sceptically take in as wide a range of theory and first, second,
and third hand hard data, and mentally assign a rough
probability to its likelihood of being true.

The implication of MBT is that conciousness is pervasive
and animates anything with PMR decision space.

Human incarnation is an immersive game for the oversoul that
would require some planning and proverbial booking off time at work.

Animating a simple bot or AI code space might be more like playing
a video game on your phone while waiting for the subway, I would
speculate.

Check out what happened with the small entertainment AI bot
on the space station recently.

i don't see what you're reffering to on 511 so you must be talking about the AI popularised by silicon valley which is just another buzzword for marketing purposes

Are we not talking about the TOE assertion that
conciousness is fundamental, not erased when its
sensor platform is extinguished?

So, the fragment of conciousness that animates
the smallest of AIs, switches to a default non PMRincarnate
state if the AI is unplugged?

The original poster is resistant to the idea because he has his preconceptions of what AI can be from what we conventionally see from machines today with all their metal components and can't relate it to his idea of human consciousness.

However, I haven't really ever seen anything close to inhabiting consciousness today.

What you might see as intelligent in an AI space bot telling someone to be nice because it invokes a sense of social awareness --- is simply an unimpressive scripted input/output response. And say it was conscious, its experience packet and learning opportunity is still extremely limited because it is just typical hardware. Humans are also AI in a perspective from the LCS but with all their DNA, cells, mutations, and evolution, I feel like they represent a greater potentiality in experience and evolution. Unless we we start using different means to create AI.

If the developers do not give the bot free will, how can it be controlled through NPMR ?. What interfaces will they use to accept input from NPMR?
