I remember a post where Ted indicated a fireside chat in which Tom was telling a bit about the "specialization" of his IUOC, e.a. in which circumstances and why he is sent in a PMR or in another.
Does anybody remember that information?

I don't know whether it came up in a fireside chat, however. No I am not a member. I have worked with The Teachers from time to time when our interests have coincided -- usually concerning questions of process and interface relative to some individual. I am a free lancer -- a special assignment resource available to perform unique one-off kinds of tasks -- often associated with individuals in both PMR and NPMR with special issues -- but sometimes I work on broad more strategic big picture problems that indirectly may eventually affect many billions of entities -- but still only as a free-lancer just doing my part. Functional groups tend to work within a more narrowly defined functional area -- i.e., they are specialists. I have worked temporarily with various functional groups from time to time to gain specific needed experience. An independent agent accumulates a very broad experience base which offers a bigger picture -- something that has been very helpful in deriving an understanding of the whole. Writing MBT, though planned well before the beginning of this experience packet, is somewhat peripheral - an effort to take advantage of an unusual opportunity generated by an expected spin off of "other duties as assigned" (don't ask -- the reasons why I limit such unhelpful, though perhaps entertaining, discussions is explained elsewhere in this forum.). Efficient place this NPMR.
