hey everybody. i heard tom talk about learning how to meditate in any situation on youtube. how does one meditate to heavy metal or rap music or just loud music in general that is not meant for meditation? especially music with heavy lyrics and a catchy beat.

do you just focus on the blackness in front of your eyes and focus on your existence and try and maintain that awareness while the music is playing? it would be very heard not to focus on the lyrics.

basically is it just like normal meditation with loud ass music playing and try not to let it distract you?

how would you meditate to this? lol is it even possible? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UJ4Nel-aHZM

how would it be done though according to tom? would you just put your awareness on the blackness in front of you and hold it while trying to not engage the music?

Regarding Metal: You could maybe use Tool ... as a tool. ;-)
