Actually I think it is somewhere between very difficult and ultimately impossible to make that kind of judgement regarding someone like Bodhi Dharma and a more normal monk living in a monastery. We do not have the perspective to do so. Bodhi Dharma is also credited with creating Zen Buddhism which was a far reaching contribution. That is a kind of conclusion that is up to the LCS and not to us.

I meant to put a question mark at the end of the sentence, but I think I got the same answer without it being a question. I do understand that I, and most other people, wouldn't be able to know anything about what a monk at that kind of level would be up to while meditating inside a cave for months or years, or what their accomplishments could mean to us. Certainly my own perspective must be the same as looking at the beach but only being able to see a grain of sand and still being confused about what it is.

Well, Tom has said in different YouTube videos that monks living in caves don't make much progress. Even if they have a lot of contact with the LCS through their meditations, it is interacting in the PMR that makes the most progress. Why incarnate just to meditate your life away with just yourself?

This man works well with the MBT model of Intent changing probabilities. He is definitely someone who's information needs to be seen by many people if not all people. I'd love to see Tom with him.
