Last night I dreamt that I was part of a Chimpancee group of 4, that I was able to imitate them so well that they thought I was also a Chimp.
Is that an evolutive, or an involutive dream?
Hi again Dinah!
I was browsing through the various threads before going to bed and came across this question of yours. I realize it's an old post and you may perhaps have forgotten about it or even lost interest in getting a response. But since I've had similar off-the-wall dreams like this myself I decided to give it a shot. Disclaimer: I am not a dream interpretation expert
That being said, here goes: To see a monkey in your dream can symbolize deceit. It can also symbolize insight and intuition, but within the context of what you describe (the fact that you're imitating the monkeys) it would seem reasonable to discard insight and intuition as these are both traits that, unlike deceit, are hard to "imitate". Additionally, to see a monkey in your dream can symbolize that those around you are working to advance their own interest. This can relate to the previously mentioned aspect of 'deception' being involved somehow.
Based on all this, I would venture to say that you felt like -or perhaps really were- in some situation (work?) wherein you were surrounded by people who are deceitful and self-centered. And although you yourself are not like that at all, you played along just to get along by pretending to agree with or act like the others. And they believed it!
Alternatively, monkeys indicate an immature attitude, a playful nature and the mischievous side of your personality. Same scenario as before, except in this case you were pretending to go along with the others out of playful mischievousness. Only you can fill in the blanks here. As to whether it was evolutive or
involutive: how did it make you feel
? I personally don't think most dreams necessarily have to affect you in either direction.
How did I do? Should I open my own Psychic Reading Service ...or keep my day job?😊
All the best!
