Good read. Raises some interesting questions. I like the one that suggests we do not pursue verification as the Simulators may get pissed off and shut the whole thing down. {{{{shudders at the thought}}}} :)

Yup, article author is the same author as is covered on the FB MBT Global Family page.

He covered most of the versions of guesses of the VR at an initial level leaving the option for elaboration, I see.

Thanks for the link, kroeran.

Has Rizwan mentioned Tom in previous material?

I don't know. I've only read your link and the FB-MBT post.

Yes, this fits in the category of what might
occur to render the simulation unprofitable, or
if they would tweak it to not happen.

For example, a nuclear war or asteroid would
have a cleansing affect.

Related, I wonder if humans are generally artificially intentionally
blinded to evidence of the simulation in plain
sight.

Perhaps the findings on how we respond to an in depth disclosure could be of interest to the system.

I think most people would be just fine.

And then, even after we get to the point of
most humans zooming between NPMRs, there
will remain the fundamental mystery of mysteries,
how and why <anything> exists, including the
initial starting point of TOEian Brownian
emergent order.

My perception is that the MBT model is there for the left brain linear thought process which is incapable of comprehending and may be terrified by the thought of infinite existence.

There was no beginning, there is no end. There is now which changes eternally. Past and future are created now through the belief structure held within both individual and collective consciousness. What is experienced of the infinite is determined by belief which motivates choice.

Perhaps. It’s comfy to believe we know more than we do but ironically such a belief creates much limitation as is excludes other possibilities.

In case you don't do FB, the MBT version about Rizwan was about Tom's mention in Rizwan's book. to clarify .
