I'd rather just read MBT again.
This is a cultish sentiment
I'm surprised you see it like that. I have been studying metaphysics since I was in my early 20s. When I found MBT it answered all the questions I have been asking for 38 years. I don't need other sources that have bits and pieces of what MBT has in one source. I think I will be studying MBT the rest of my life.

If that is cultish so be it.
I too have been actively studying metaphysics for most of my life to date. I'm 57 and started when I was 17 with philosophy and religion classes in a church-affiliated liberal arts college.

I got a taste of cultishness in my month long Calvin class which had 15 students in it. The instructor which pulled double duty as a political science instructor also taught this class. I don't remember his academic credential for this sort of class but do remember he was a Lutheran minister at a local church.

13 of my classmates were self-identified Jesus Freaks in the class. At one point, in class, I was asked point blank by one such classmate why I did not accept Jesus as my savior. On reflection, this was totally inappropriate and a sign of of the cultist culture in the classroom. My answer, then, was basically a obtuse demurral - it didn't feel right.

I have yet - and I may never - post to the "How MBT affected me" forum but if it happens one essential point would most assuredly be this perspective:

MBT added missing pieces of my personal TOE to my existing TOE and that realization was nearly instantaneous to my first viewing of the first London clip,

Granted, there are levels of the MBT information I have yet to bring into my conscious awareness. This would be one practical reason for a re-reading.

@ Randy, I'd guess you've got some imperfect discernment going on. Good Luck in getting it sorted out.

Of course reading and rereading TOE is a good thing....essential

The context is the general distain and harassment of persons who share quotations that originate from religious sources, and my failed attempt to bring the two sides together

Further, when a person goes the next step and rejects all sources outside of a specific teacher, this is a hallmark of the cult...which is one of a growing list of deviations of forum conversation from Toms writings

I personally have no problem with cults, and see them as productive tools of AUM, and they are generally good clean fun

I have disdain for religion but I tend to keep it to myself and ignore the source. I'm getting better, though, at dissipating that disdain through internal processes.

Gosh, that would be something to do that. Who does that!?

I find I can find small bits of truth in most religions such as Love, so I must be a lucky one.

When a wo/man cares s/he is unafraid.
When s/he is fair, s/he leaves enough for others.
When s/he is humble, s/he can grow.

I wonder if music, or some of it, inherently entrains to NPMR in some way

I wouldn't doubt it if NPMR's molecules were made up of music, sounds, colors. All seems like metaphors for Love ♥ ;)

Edgar Cayce has been a great part of my spiritual understanding. I discovered him sometime in the 1980's.

Praying is just worrying anyways.

I think that particular variety of prayer is just the old-paradigm-word (OPW) for TOEist Focused Intent (TFI).

this OPW can also refer to just sit'in in the woods do'in nuth'un, which also can be called sensory (PMR) deprivation = non-sensory (NPMR) stimulation
