Once again Tom has opened a door for me...

Post by Ryan »

As the subject says... Tom's information has once again opened a door for me. It's a door that I never even bothered to check to see if it was even closed!

He talks about belief traps and how they prevent us from furthering our knowledge. Well, I just figured one out for myself that I was unknowing stuck on. It's a thought that has been slowly coalescing inside me, but because of this belief trap I found myself in I didn't know (as strange as it sounds) that I was allowed to KNOW it. That sounds completely retarded... not knowing that I was allowed to know something which I already knew! *facepalms*

This belief was around the idea that accessing the non-physical was something that had to occur due to initiating an exercise or a specific technique properly. I've been practicing Phasing 'exercises' not really fully understanding exactly what they were... well, I subconsciously knew, but it wasn't until recently that I was able to recognize it consciously.

These Phasing techniques that I practice are, in essence, what Tom would refer to as "point of consciousness" meditations. That's why I've made more progress using them than I have other, more classic "roll out" style methods/techniques. I've been meditating for the past 15 years... it's what I know how to do.

So yeah... just making that connection now seems silly after all this time, but I guess that's just what has to happen.

So, once again... I tip my hat to Tom, and say thank you for making me aware that I'm allowed to know what I know, even if I already know it and just didn't know that I was allowed to. ROFL! Oh man, that line might take a few reads to get right. :)

That's cool dude!

What are the phasing techniques all about exactly?

Exactly what Tom talks about regarding the Point of Consciousness meditations.
They're about removing your physical focus of awareness from this physical reality.

I didn't realize before just exactly what they were until I made that connection between them an meditation.

Isn't the same idea from Frank Kepple? For me it is the same experience seen from 2 different perspectives.

Ryan,

That's awesome dude! Another way Tom describes this phasing process is switching data streams. When you reach point consciousness, you have completely detached yourself from the PMR datastream and it's much easier to pick up another datastream from NPMR or where ever.

Thanks for sharing your insight. It is helpful to many I am sure.

You're very welcome. :)

I'm still working on stabilizing my point of consciousness.
It's hard to focus away from something you've spent so long focusing towards. LoL

That's an important realization Ryan.

Through that door, there is an even larger reality, that few ever consider.

Hmmm... a question just popped into mind...
Is the "void" a LACK of a Datastream? Or is it just an virtually empty-ish Datastream?

A damn good question. There are so many of those round here.

Void is a Human metaphor, so it is both data (the metaphor/interpretation) and absence of data (the void). Perhaps it is data perceiving a perceived absence of data!

There is no void. It is just your inability to focus in what ever data stream you are in. It is all The Larger Consciousness System.

The Void is a very particular vision that has been visited by mystics and metaphysicians for millennia. Tom has been there. I have been there. It is very difficult to describe. It is not something which we can realistically have seen as in PMR vision because it would exist before anything else came into existence from it. I see it, and believe that Tom does too, as the field of reality cells with their random digital data to be, before the cells have started to interact. No consciousness, no beings, no visual apparatus, no nothing. Yet you know that something is there waiting when you are there in that vision. It is frequently referred to as shining. There is a special Buddhist word for it as Śūnyatā. It is not just emptiness however. Search for the term as perhaps 'the void of mysticism and metaphysics' and you will get a range of references to the Void. It shows up in essentially all historical branches of metaphysics.

Linda, yes there is that void too while I think that we are referring to the Void.

So Ted - there really is a place where there is "nothingness?" That is very interesting and not something I thought possible.

I hope no one minds me bringing this over from FB:

Ryan asked: Heya Tom! I had a quick question I posted on the forums about the Void, the state of consciousness that you speak about regarding the point of consciousness state. What's your take on the Void? Is it the lack of a datastream or access to a datastream that's... I guess the best way to describe it would be "empty"?

Specialis_Sapientia replied: It could be both, it depends on how you define "datastream", though it is more accurate to say it's a lack of datastream as you are not getting data from some particular reality frame, but just experiencing consciousness in its fundamental form. When you cut off the PMR datastream, what remains? Just pure consciousness, the sense of BEING is experienced.

To which Claudio (soprano) replied, well said.

Ramon Thompson likes this and so do I!

I might create a thread for Tom's You Tube replies and bring them over here too. He's off answering people's questions elsewhere, but there's no reason that data can't be brought over here as well, it's totally public domain, right?
