reality cell
[My Big TOE Term]
A reality cell represents the smallest and simplest unit of awareness possible. It can be thought of as being the smallest unit for storing information within consciousness, much like a memory cell in a computer memory chip.
In the same way a memory cell stores one bit of data in a computer, a reality cell can be imagined as being aware that it is in one of two binary states that represent two different values (1/0, on/off, this/that).
The concept of reality cells is fundamental to the idea of consciousness being an evolving information system.
My Big TOE conjectures that AUO – the potential for primordial consciousness – actualized its evolutionary potential through its ability to self-modify, change states and develop complexity. In a process similar to exponential biological cell division and specialization, AUO developed an internal structure of “reality cells”. This is how consciousness became an information system. Reality cells form the basic data structure of consciousness.
It is important not to confuse reality cells with individuated entities within the Larger Consciousness System LCS/AUM. Those individuated entities with free will are called IUOCs (Individuated Units of Consciousness). Each IUOC contains innumerable reality cells that make up its unique data structure.
The collective states of an IUOC’s reality cells determine its level of entropy. High entropy represents a relatively disordered (random) data structure; low entropy represents a relatively ordered (non-random) data structure.
