fear

[My Big TOE Definition]

Fear, the opposite of love, is about self.

Fear is creatively expressed as ego, belief, and expectation – it expresses itself in terms of value to itself: I need, I want, I believe, I expect, I deserve.

Ego and belief, self-centeredness and expectation are the results of awareness acting on a fear-based intent. Fear is the fundamental nature of a high-entropy consciousness.

Fear resides at both the intellectual level and the being level. Without fear, there’s no ego, belief or expectation and the intellectual and being level become one without differentiation. As fear is decreased, awareness and decision space increase.

When you eliminate a “normal” being’s high-entropy fear, their ego and beliefs also drop away and what you have left is an exceptionally low-entropy being of love. Thus, love is nothing you have to attain, nothing you have to add. You simply have to get rid of your fear. If you get rid of your fear, what remains is love.

Love is about other, fear is about self

People may have countless different fears, but most can ultimately be reduced or traced back to a limited number of root fears (some of which are interrelated). These root fears include:
• the fear of not being good enough
• the fear of pain
• the fear of the unknown
• the fear of not being in control
• the fear of death/annihilation

Many people think they don’t have any fears at all. Fears can be difficult to detect because the ego and beliefs are so good at covering them up and hiding them from view. This, of course, is an unproductive way of dealing with fears, because without being aware of one’s fears it’s difficult to get rid of them.
